To My Gavi-Goo on the anniversary of his birth

Happy 5th Birthday Gavin!
Five years ago on a miserably rainy day you entered this world and change the entire existence of the world. A lot of the world may have to wait twenty years to feel this change, but its coming. For me and your Dad the world changed the minute you were born. While I was pregnant with you I was told often that when you were born I would never love anything so much in all my life. I never doubted them. Although I think they should all stand corrected now. Sure I was crazy in love with you when you were just 6lbs, but nothing compares to love that has had five solid years to grow.

Gavin’s last first day of preschool

First day of school

Monday was Gavin’s first day of school. Well really it was the first day of his third year of preschool. This is the last year though. Next year he will be a Kindergartener. He wore his new puffy vest that he picked out. He is in love with this vest on every day since Monday he has kissed it goodbye before leaving to school. He even sleeps with it and lays on it when he’s watching tv. He’s so funny. He also got a new backpack. I was just going to use his back pack from last year. But it got ripped so I have to send it back to LL Bean for a replacement. While we were browsing the Disney store he saw this Wall-e backpack and just had to have it.
Riding the bus
He had a great time on his first day. He was excited to see his favorite bus driver and bus helper. When he got to school he met a lot of new friends and was excited to see his teacher. What a change from his first year where he was so scared to go, he cried by the door almost the entire time. They couldn’t get him to sit down and when he’d come home on the bus he’d freak out. I like the new and improved Gavin better. Anyway here is a little side by side of all three of his first days of school!
